These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, rentals, and use of vehicles provided by ELUR. By making a booking or using an ELUR vehicle, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. About ELUR
ELUR provides bespoke, luxury electric campervan rentals in Tasmania.
All vehicles are supplied subject to availability and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility to Rent
To rent an ELUR vehicle, you must:
- Be at least 25 years old
- Hold a full, unrestricted driver licence
- Present a valid licence at vehicle collection
- Be legally entitled to drive in Australia
ELUR reserves the right to decline a booking if eligibility requirements are not met.
3. Bookings and Reservations
3.1 Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once:
- The required deposit or full payment has been received, and
- Written confirmation is issued by ELUR.
3.2 Booking Accuracy
You are responsible for ensuring all booking details are accurate, including travel dates, driver details, and contact information.
4. Payments and Charges
4.1 Rental Fees
Rental fees are displayed at the time of booking and may vary by season, duration, and availability.
4.2 Security Bond
A refundable security bond is required prior to vehicle collection. The bond amount and release timing will be confirmed at booking.
4.3 Additional Charges
Additional charges will apply for:
- Late returns
- Excess cleaning
- Damage or misuse
- Traffic infringements or tolls
5. Cancellations and Changes
5.1 Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms, fees, and timeframes are disclosed during the booking process and form part of these Terms & Conditions.
5.2 Booking Changes
Requests to modify bookings are subject to availability and may incur a fee.
6. Vehicle Collection and Return
6.1 Collection
Vehicles must be collected at the agreed location and time. A pre rental inspection will be conducted with you.
6.2 Return
Vehicles must be returned:
- On the agreed date and time
- In a clean and reasonable condition
- With the agreed battery charge level
Late returns will incur additional charges.
7. Use of the Vehicle
7.1 Permitted Use
The vehicle may only be used for lawful, private travel purposes.
7.2 Prohibited Use
You must not:
- Drive off-road or on restricted tracks
- Use the vehicle for commercial purposes
- Tow other vehicles or trailers
- Allow unauthorised drivers
8. Electric Vehicle Responsibilities
As an electric vehicle renter, you agree to:
- Follow charging guidance provided by ELUR
- Use appropriate charging infrastructure
- Monitor battery levels during travel
Failure to operate the vehicle responsibly may result in additional charges.
9. Damage, Loss, and Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Any loss or damage occurring during the rental period
- Reporting incidents, damage, or faults promptly
Damage assessment and repair costs may be deducted from the security bond.
10. Breakdowns and Assistance
In the event of a mechanical issue:
- Contact ELUR immediately
- Follow guidance provided
ELUR will make reasonable efforts to assist but is not liable for indirect losses or travel disruption.
11. Liability Limitation
To the extent permitted by law:
- ELUR is not liable for indirect or consequential loss
- ELUR’s liability is limited to the rental fees paid
Nothing in these Terms limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.
12. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with ELUR’s Privacy Policy, available on our website.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania and Australia.
